Responsive Visitors To Your Blogs Via Pinging And Other Methods...
When you have decided to share your thoughts with the World thru your blogs, there are services that can help you do this, and a lot of them are free or very low cost... "Pinging " as it's called alerts the Search Engine "Spiders" or "Bots", that new content is available for them to explore and list or rank on their respective pages. Pinging your blogs effectively requires that you've really updated your content, and perhaps added new links or features to your blogs... Avoid abusing pinging services by following their rules, and using your own good judgement, not doing so will get your blogs kicked off the search engines and that's not a good thing. Blog link sharing groups are a lot like the old traffic exchanges in that they make your blog available for viewing by their members, as you do the same. Some services offer widgets that you can place on your own blogs that will show the public what other blogs are available for viewing. Placing one of these widgets on your site is intended to bring more Human traffic and, hopefully, more responsive visitors to you blog. In my own experience, these services are middling to good, at best. Human beings are responsive to good content, and at their leisure or pleasure... Don't expect technology to do what only Humans can do... Make your blogs as Interesting, Inviting and Informational, as Humanly possible... Updating and Pinging when you do it right, can work wonders for your blog rankings, but if it's responsive Human traffic you want-- Those Three I's that I listed above, along with a good dose of your own Native Intelligence, should help you in your road to much more successful blogging.
